About Alan Gold
Ever since the young age of 15 he’s had the desire to work in the fashion world. After taking classes at the Philadelphia College of Art, Alan solidified his dreams and craft of hairstyling and coloring, and began his training while still in law school.
Alan’s unique techniques of coloring, styling and skilled hand at cutting hair, garnered attention of models, TV anchors, and industry professionals.
Alan splits his time between the salon and editorial shoots in US and Europe. He’s contributed to over 50 top periodicals and blogs: Vogue Italia, Allure, Elle, GQ, Town & Country, American Salon, Ladies Home Journal, Better Homes and Gardens, Woman’s Day, Philadelphia Mag, Philly Style, and more.
His greatest strength is his ability to keep a client’s vision in focus, while integrating an on trend style. He’s able to move between clients of all backgrounds: supermodels, soccer moms and businessmen. He adapts the glamorous looks from the runway for the everyday individual.
As a result of working in both the fashion and beauty industries, Alan has worked on numerous advertising and product development projects. He’s collaborated on campaigns both domestically and internationally with Ideacomo, Albert Nipon, Visage Beaute, and countless hair color and hair care products.
Currently, Alan is the Creative Director at Haig & Co. Salon and resides in both Philadelphia and New York. He’s appeared on CBS Morning, Good Morning America, and several local network affiliates. He shares his expertise by providing beauty and grooming techniques to viewers and clients.
